The Story.
After 25 years in procurement, I wanted more than another corporate role. I kept seeing the same problems repeat: underinvestment in technology, low organizational maturity, and procurement dismissed as mere gatekeepers. I fought this for years, but as the saying goes, “there is no prophet in their own land.”
I often wished for a partner who could amplify my belief in procurement’s ability to generate real enterprise value. In 2024, I decided to become that partner to other Procurement leaders myself.
I started Candor to help other CPOs facing the same challenges I had: to do procurement differently. To bring true expertise, tailored strategies, and the kind of honesty rarely found in a corporate environment. I wanted to create a space that sparks intellectual curiosity, designs solutions that elevate procurement’s reputation, and refuses to let good ideas get buried under politics. A place where results stick.
Along the way, I partnered with Riley, who sees business problems the way I do but comes with an innovation and experimentation mindset. Where I bring depth of experience, he brings relentless curiosity and speed. Together, we’ve built an approach that blends structure with agility, and expertise with experimentation.
